After benching Wedid last month, XSET have confirmed his replacement with Rory “dephh” Jackson. Joining the team as the in-game leader, the ex-Dignitas player will help the team go even further in VCT Stage 3 after the good performances XSET had in Stage 2.

The whole roster of Dignitas was released back in March after disappointing results and failing to qualify to any Closed Qualifier in VCT Stage 1. The roster moved on as an orgless team under the name of “rice and meatballs” for VCT Stage 2 and in Challengers 1 they fell off in the last qualifying match to 100 Thieves. After that, the roster disbanded and dephh himself was not active in any other teams since then.

Rory was always focused on the Sentinel / Controller role maining mostly Cypher, Killjoy and Omen but since the meta changes back from April it will be interesting which Agent he will try to pick up since Zander “thwifo” Kim is the main Sentinel for the team unless some roles will be changed around.

XSET progress through VCT Stage 2 was very good considering they managed to make it to the Challengers Finals even though they failed to make much progress there after losing their games to NRG and Envy. During Challengers 1 Closed qualifier they lost the Grand Final to 100 Thieves 3-1 after winning matches against Immortals, Version1 and Envy through the Lower Bracket. With this roster update, they will definitely be looking to make even further progress with a possibility to qualify to Masters Berlin in September.

With this roster move, XSET are now:
Rory “dephh” Jackson
Brendan “bcJ” Jensen
Bryce “PureR” Lovell
Jordan “AYRIN” He
Zander “thwifo” Kim

Matthew “Wedid” Suchan (benched)
