The reported Ninjas in Pyjamas news has come true, as Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev has joined the organization, while Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek and Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel have departed. Emir “rhyme” Muminovic and Charles “CREA” Beauvois have resigned for two more years.
luckeRRR’s Jett/OP has been a cornerstone of Ninjas in Pyjamas for some time, and Sayf was a big-name signing prior to First Strike, but after NiP’s failure to qualify, both have been sidelined. NiP’s announcement mentions that Sayf has been sold to another organization, which was reported last week as Guild Esports.
In turn, Jady joins the organization as one of the most exciting signings NiP have made yet in VALORANT. Previously a member of HSDIRR, Jady has played both Sova and fragging roles, and contributed greatly to the exciting and dynamic play the Russian-Swedish mix showed. The fifth player is still undecided.
“We know it’s been turbulent, but we’ve accepted that a new game like VALORANT needs an agile mindset to build the most coherent roster and to find a group of people who mold perfectly together, while having the potential to win big trophies. It’s been trial and error, but we can honestly say that we’ve evolved a lot and improved with every change we’ve made. The road to success isn’t always straight, but I am very happy with where we are now, ” Jonas Gundersen, COO of Ninjas in Pyjamas, said in the official announcement.
It has been a rocky ride for Ninjas in Pyjamas, and while some very good players are on their way out, another is on his way in. It remains to be seen who NiP’s fifth player will be, but for the first time in a while, things may be looking up for the prominent Swedish organization.
Ninjas in Pyjamas are now:
Emir “rhyme” Muminovic
Charles “CREA” Beauvois
Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk
Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev
