DeadFox comes from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where he’s been a longtime representative of Hellraisers. While he hasn’t nabbed any big tournament victories, he’s played in big events such as the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major 2017 and the ESL Pro League finals. He’s been inactive from Counter-Strike since early 2019.
It’s been known for some time that DeadFox has been looking to make an entrance in VALORANT, but he hasn’t played many events yet, only the Mandatory.GG Cup, placing 17th-32nd. It was rumoured that DeadFox was trialing for the open spot on FPX Esports that ultimately went to Dmitriy “dimasick” Matvienko, but he instead finds himself joining needmoreDM.
Tigene, needmoreDM’s Breach player, will be the one heading out of the roster to make room for DeadFox. He put up stats of 178 ACS and 0.94 K/D over his time with the team.
DeadFox looks to be a big upgrade for the Hungarians, and while they might not quite be challengers at the top of Europe, they’ll certainly look to cement a spot in the region’s upper echelon. As for what role DeadFox might fill, and how successful the player individually will be, we just have to wait and see.
